In August 1989, after many years working in the business equipment world, Brian and Paul Benneworth along with Andrew Silk founded Bentek. At this early stage they were assisted by their sister Jayne and, between them, they had already amassed many years of experience in supplying and servicing a wide range of products for the office. From previous experience, they had learnt that an earnest and straightforward approach when dealing with local companies was always appreciated.
Building upon this experience and in the knowledge that the technology for providing computerised solutions was rapidly advancing, Bentek developed steadily as its customer base increased.
With the customer at its core, Bentek provides a complete solution to the needs of the office. This includes the supply of everything from stationery through faxes and photocopiers to the networked computer, as we know it to day. Additional personnel have been added providing more resources and currently there are 21 people on the payroll, the majority being employed in a service and support roles.
Since its inception Bentek has developed training for both personal and software skills, and Internet services such as Web Design and Hosting and Email Services. In fact new companies have been formed specifically for these purposes.
While remaining true to its goal of customer satisfaction Bentek has evolved as a leading provider of computer networks, support services, multi-function copier/printers, and peripheral products. All in all Bentek is a local organisation providing international products with corporate efficiency.
